Monica King is a former NYC gallerist, an independent curator, art historian, creative brand strategist, writer, designer, editor, and supporter of creative visionaries. She has over 21 years of experience including her eponymous gallery on Lispenard Street in Tribeca (2019-2021), as well as senior roles with Pace Gallery (2002-2012) and other notable international contemporary art programs.
Her experience includes international fine art sales, high-profile event planning, project management, writing, editing, web and graphic design, social media and traditional marketing, online sales platforms, art fairs, client development, and public relations.
King has been a guest juror for the New York Academy of Art, a guest critic for the McColl Center in Charlotte, NC, and a faculty advisor for the NYC Crit Club. Selected exhibitions and programming have been featured in Artforum, Artnet, Architectural Digest, ARTnews, the Art Newspaper, the Observer, and Whitewall, among others. She holds a MA in Art History from Washington University in St. Louis and a BA in Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When she isn’t talking about art and creativity, you will most often find her cooking, running, writing, or playing with her two whippets, Julep and Jasper.
